Hannah, a non smoker, has been assisting for at least 1 year. She can drive but does not have access to a car.
"In the last three years I have completed a BTEC National Diploma in Photography with three Distinctions at Brighton & Hove City College. While there I built up a portfolio of work, I assisted the Brighton based photographer Paul Winter on a couple of advertisement shoots. I collaborated with a professional abstract landscape painter Mark Johnston in producing a bound book in which I produced a series of environmental portrait photographs for the publication, which also contained photographs of Mark Johnstons paintings. From the begining of the college course right up until the present day I have also worked part time in a photographic lab.
I now study at the University of Brighton on the BA (Hons) Editorial Photography course where i am continuing to broaden my own photographic approach and further my work experience. I am currently involved in a internship with Photoworks a visual arts organisation. I assist them with administration and am involved with their information hub for their Brighton Photo Biennial festival. I also voluntarily work for a local Brighton based magazine You Got Papped as one of their photographers. The magazine reflects on Brighton life, people, events, and gigs.
Including directly photographic work I also feel there is a necessity to understand the foundations of business, so therefore I also voluntarily work for a Universtiy based project, Beepurple an entrenuership network, who i have taken photographs for during their events and workshops, and i have also attented and taken part in Ultraviolet, Beepurples week long intensive course on business and entreprenureal skills.
I am passionate and enthusiastic about photography, and am willing to get involved in as much diverse assisting work as possible, therefore I am not scared to work long hours or get my hands dirty. "
