When I graduated from Reading University, my career counselor gave me what I consider to be some pretty bad advice: "Just get any job, and figure the rest out later." While I think I could have gained good transferrable skills and on-the-job experience anywhere, I wanted to make sure my first step gave me opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and useful hands on experience with the medium, and I have had an amazing 10 years, I'm now just returned from Shanghai, looking for my next opportunity to learn new skills and get great shots no matter what! My portfolio has been taken from a range of photographic opportunities I've been afforded over the years, from fashion, glamour, portraiture through to interior, product and reproduction. Attributes I can bring to your organization, a strong understanding of light through the lens, and knowledge of most camera platforms including technical. A love and knowledge for the subject from Man Rays Ray'Ogram to Sony's mirrorless digital revolution. An obsession with detail, composition and accuracy and the experience of working with amazing teams from all corners of the globe.

Photography is my passion.I have recently moved to the UK and would like to assist local UK based photographers. I have been working as a freelance photographer in South Africa for more than 10 years, setting up and managing a wide range of projects. My experience includes product photography, commercial vehicles, architectural and interior photography. I have a great deal of experience in retouching, editing and uploading photographs for online publishing, as well as preparing photographs for print production. I have worked on PC and Mac computers. As an experienced photographer, I have a great eye for detail and excellent lighting skills. I have done photography for Bigshots Photography, HSC Consulting Engineers, Woodhill College, The Photo Firm, African Encounters, Real Magazine, Pam Golding Property and more. As a freelance photographer, I have also photographed and edited events, portraiture, fashion, sports and wedding images. Working as a freelancer has required me to develop excellent organisational skills to deliver projects to customers. I have used mobile studios and have had the opportunity to work on different projects with a variety of equipment and this has given me an in-depth understanding of photographic equipment and techniques. The ever-changing shoot environment has taught me to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment. I am hardworking and passionate about photography. I am always reading about and trying new photographic techniques and equipment that can improve my photography.

I am passionate about photography, and would love the opportunity to work as an assistant for a photographer to help me gain more skills to develop my career in the subject. I have had 3 years of photography experience. My experience has allowed me to gain an A in photography A-Levels and develop my creativity and knowdlege within the field. Being a photography university student has allowed me to enhance communication and ensure I complete successful tasks under pressure, it has also helped me build confidence and show willingness to learn to things. I have developed portfolio work through these years, exploring all different areas of photography such as; architecture, wildlife, nature, events, fashion, etc. I have knowledge with using some camera equipment, and have some experience working in a studio. Although I would like to develop my studio skills. I know how to use both Canon and Nikon cameras, as well as basic film cameras. I am advanced with editing software, such as Photoshop and have good eye for detail. I would describe my photography style as creative, I am dedicated and efficient. Although Im based in Cardiff area, I can travel as far as Bristol.

After graduating in Business Economics and travelling extensively I finally found my calling in photography. Changing my career took some time and a lot of learning by doing, through workshops, assisting and shooting myself, in studio and on location. I am eager to learn even more about the craft and the industry. I have experience with most lighting equipment and software (Capture One, Photoshop and Lightroom). Hello, my name is Ana Rodrigues and I'm from Portugal, but I live and work (mostly is hospitality) for a year now in Edinburgh. I discovered photography through my grandfather. I was amazed by the way he carried his camera and the way he liked to photograph in film. Since I was 15 I was sure that this would be the right way to go. I began my course in audiovisual communication at Escola Soares dos Reis in Portugal and there I learned from an early age the importance of both analog and digital photography and above all to look at the world through different and interesting perspectives. Later in the university, and with the teaching of great professionals, I was able to work in the studio, in the laboratory and to discover in a more mature form what this passion means. After completing my degree I did some work in this area, especially for publishing and advertising and then I realized the importance of the deadlines and the management of my workflow. I am an enthusiastic person who likes to always take the positive part of all the challenges in life. As I am a curious person I decided to try other areas of work as receptionist and front of the house, and the whole social part developed in a rewarding way and my previous professional experiences allow me to conclude that I am a fast learner and also that I dedicate myself to 100% to everything I am committed to. I would love to start and learn, joining my passion for photography and the art of telling people's stories would be a dream come true! One of my greatest accomplishments was to participate in the first edition of the project "Paratissima Lisboa 2016" where I had the opportunity to contact with different cultures and make my work public.

My passion for photography is strong since when I was very young and had my analogic Nikon always with me! my studies in Psychology really help me to create amazing images and my brain seems work in a different way! My greatest aspiration is to be able to invest my skills and energy in a project that I believe in and to work for a company in which I recognize myself. I have a strong passion for technology, photography, music, cinema, and TV. With the brain in perpetual multitasking, follow the communication and arts in all its forms.
