I’ve worked on a wide range of editorial and commercial shoots across the UK, Europe and the US, primarily within portraiture, interiors, food and lifestyle photography. My experience ranges from smaller editorial productions to larger commercial sets, and I’m comfortable adapting to different working styles and crews. I mostly work as a 1st assistant or digital operator, supporting photographers with lighting builds, camera setup and on-set workflow. I’m confident building and assisting with lighting setups, troubleshooting on set, and offering input when useful. I’m organised, calm and reliable on set, and enjoy working with new teams and collaborators to help keep shoots running smoothly. I’m used to working in fast-paced environments, across varied locations and briefs, and can work both independently and as part of a larger crew. I'm looking to increase my photography experience, I have photographed for people on many occasions including weddings, horse shows, baby shoots, puppy shoots, home & garden, portraits. I've been in love with photography since a young teenager, and been photographing everything and everyone I can ever since. Whilst studying Contemporary Media Practice at university I had training in lighting and studio work as well as improving my own practice and skills. During and since university I have worked as in wedding and events photography, theatre and performance photography, and as unit stills photographer on short films. I have been working in photography for the last 25 years. Nowadays I am mainly teaching photography and have dedicated my photographic work to my own projects but still do the occasional professional job. I have done wedding and event photography, some architecture, exhibition and artwork shoots, portraits and headshots, and some product shooting, mainly jewellery and metallic yarn. I have experience with 35mm, medium format and large format film cameras (Hasselblad and Mamiya medium format, Toyo field camera), with full frame DSLRs (mainly Nikon) and crop frame mirrorless. I have also worked in studio environment with Bowens and ProFoto flashlights and with Ellinchrom fixed lights. I am happy to be involved in every part of the process, from carrying to cleaning and making coffee or even cooking. I would describe myself as someone who is eager to learn, happy to work in various conditions, meet new people and get the job done in the best possible way.
