Photo Assistants in Greater Manchester

Hi I'm Ed, a freelance photographer and assistant based in Manchester. I studied BA Photography at Manchester School of Art and recently completed my MA in Documentary Photography from the University of South Wales, supporting myself throughout both courses working freelance. My own practice is in documentary and landscape photography but typically I assist photographers on portrait, industrial, food, and studio shoots as well as interviews. I shoot myself with Fuji GFX and Leica M/L systems with Godox lighting. I have further experience through other photographers I have worked with on, with Canon & Nikon, tethering to both LR & C1, backing up using Syncback & Chronosync as well as Profoto & Elinchrom lighting. Additionally I work across 35mm/MF/LF film, having used most systems, developing and scanning at home. I'm based in South Manchester and run 2 cars of my own which swallow a lot of kit and are insured for business use. Happy to provide some BTS/B-roll on your spare camera if needed. To build myself a name within the photographic industry, working as an assistant. Also to push my skills I already have and develop new skills on the way. I graduated from university in 2008 where i studied Photography at manchester met. I finished with the grade 2-1. Altho i have only just graduated i all ready have built myself a health client base and when i am not working as an assistant i work at Calumet photographic which keeps me up to date with the photographic medium. I come from a very technical photographic background and i feel this and good people skills have helped me become a good photographic assistant.

I have been developing and training in photography for about 8 years. I consider myself to be punctual, practical and pleasant. I work, I have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and helping people. I actually make really nice cups of teas but I really am very approachable and unafraid to jump in to get my hands dirty.

I have been Studying and Practicing photography for about 6 years, and have recently Graduated from the University of Bolton. I consider myself to be Hard Working, Levelheaded and Enthusiastic person. I am highly passionate about Photography and producing high quality photographs.
