I am hugely passionate about photography! I have experience shooting weddings, events and products. I also have experience working within a studio and have my own studio kit. The reason for me just wanting to assist at the moment is to expand my knowledge and meet other photographers!

I'm a passionate friendly individual, very much a peoples person. I enjoy working as a team as well as on my own. I have considerable amount of experience using Adobe products Photoshop, Aftereffects,Illustrator and Lightrooms. I have a hard-working attitude and delight in the company of creative individuals. I've been in and around the photographic industry for 10 years and I am always looking to develop my skills and gain the opportunity to work on shoots and assist experience creative photographers. I enjoy the logistical and the creative aspects of producing a photoshoot. I also believe that post production is just as important as pre production. Oh and did I mention I make a great cup of tea!

I am a hard working, reliable individual eager to work extended hours on projects with tight deadlines. I am flexible and can easily adapt to the various working conditions experienced in a photography environment. I completed the City and Guilds Photo Imaging qualification and finished FDa Photography in City and Islington College. I possess good technical knowledge of SLRs, medium and large format Leaf back cameras. I am experienced in organising logistics for shoots, handling photography material, photo retouching, resizing, colour balancing and accurately archiving pictures. I am competent in setting up and working with lighting in studio and location. I am able to work well under pressure and pride myself at being commercially minded. My previous experience working in the hospitality industry has developed my interpersonal skills and I am well practised with the task of serving up a good cuppa.

I have been working for a local company specialising in school photography for 6 years and have a great rapport with all our clients and the people I photograph. In my spare time I build up my own portfolio focusing on fashion photography. I do all my own retouching and I am self taught in Photoshop. I have assisted before and I am happy to transport equipment, set up lights and make drinks, whatever is needed. I am always on time and will put in the extra time if needed.

I have spent most of my working life as a Bodyguard or in todays circles a Close Protection Operative or CPO. I was also doing Investigational work involving Surveillance and from that I had a want and need to further my photographic skills and like most people in this world I woke up one day and realised I had in fact spent the last 22 years doing totally wrong job. In April 2008 I became a father and in September 2008 a full-time father to a beautiful baby girl, Hana Rose, who is the light of my life, I gave up working for people who really did not need looking after and finally used my skills for someone who actually needs me, she has become my model and from day one knows when Daddy has the camera she loves to pose when she feels like it, you know the score, a woman's perogative!!! I am a very easy going guy who loves to work hard and am not afraid to get dirty if the need be. I currently own and use the following equipment: Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera Body Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens Canon 430ex Speedlite Slik PRO 700DX Tripod Photoshop CS4 Photoshop Elements 8 27ins iMac Elinchrom D-lite 2 twin head studio lighting system plus backdrops, 5 in 1 reflector and the ability to be portable so have kept it to the point as I have yet to set up a proper studio, but all in good time.
