Michael MacDonald

About

Hi, I’m Michael, a London based photographer and photo assistant. I’ve worked on editorial and commercial shoots, as well as music videos, and recently graduated from LCC with a degree in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography. I have hands on experience with Profoto lighting systems, studio flash and continuous lighting, both in the studio and on location. I’m comfortable working with digital cameras and 35mm, medium format and large format film, with experience using Capture One and Photoshop. I’m friendly, attentive and adaptable, happy to help with equipment preparation, lighting setups and general support on set. I’m looking for second and third assistant work, supporting experienced lighting teams and continuing to develop my technical skills. Photographers I’ve assisted include Jono White and Eimear Lynch. I’ve also worked as a stills assistant for the directing duo Bedroom.
