I have been an event photographer for The Write Angle, a non-government funded organisation, for the last six years. The community building-based organisation, which is located in Forth Valley area, has been active in doing a number of solo and collaborative work with like-minded individuals and organisations in promoting artists, musicians, poets and writers locally and outwith as far as Edinburgh and Glasgow. Over the course of this ongoing journey, I have learned that by constantly educating yourself with shooting and digital darkroom techniques can be valuable for keeping yourself attuned and fresh with the demand of your chosen genre. However, in my case, nothing beats a connected shooter and subject at any given time. I like interesting people and architecture in natural light especially in photographs. BTW, if I may be bold to say I am a self-taught photographer. And part and parcel indebted to the authors of photographic literature and materials from books and magazines (courtesy of our local library) to webinars on YouTube for honing my skills. However, I am open to suggestions and flexible with working hours if required.

I mainly work as a freelance photographer and videographer. I have recently shot and edited a number of BTS videos for photographer Jonathan Knowles. As an assistant, I have worked as a studio assistant at ProVision studios, Shoreditch Studios and Lock Studios. Fortunately, Lock studios also have their own lighting hire business which has given me a much greater knowledge of kit. I have a good understanding of photography and lighting but I am always keen to learn more through experience working with different photographers.

I absolutely adore creating new fun concepts and gathering other creatives to assist with my crazy ideas. Colour, story and life are very important to the images I show, as well as a touch of pink and mint, and some nostalgia thrown in there.
