I'm Patricia Luyindula, a Visual Artist, with a specialism in photography and videography based in West London. My work tends to focus on the self by using my life experiences, background and environments at the forefront of what I produce. And also enjoy creating experimental videos on the notion of exploring self and the world, plus shooting and editing some commercial videos. My style is a fusion of the old and new coexisting and exploring the depths of things we're familiar with, which I define as being modern nostalgia. I set out to explore the use of film and digital cameras as well as traditional materials and artistic mediums such as paint and fabrics.

Based near Bristol in the South West, I have been working as a commercial photographer for more than 15 years. Working with clients throughout the country, I love my work! It is so rewarding producing creative images for use across marketing, websites, magazines and PR. Working closely with my clients, I am passionate about producing photography that is exciting, engaging and produced specifically for use in clients' advertisements, PR and marketing. It is such a pleasure to see my photography forming an integral part of marketing campaigns or significantly increasing the effectiveness of a PR article. Often my work is used for e-commerce sites such as Amazon, Shopify or Etsy, helping boost clients' sales and increasing their customer base.

With over 2 years of experience as a freelance Production/Studio Assistant in film and photography, my familiarity with a variety of production processes and equipment, including printing, photography, and digital design allows me to provide effective production support. In addition, I have worked part-time as a Showroom Assistant at a bespoke design company since 2020 where I have built excellent client rapport. I am skilled in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining the smooth running of a studio.

I have worked mainly as a freelance picture editor on entertainment (red carpets, awards, film festivals, fashion weeks, etc.), brand, corporate, royal and sports events over the last 8 years. I've worked for Getty Images, Stillmoving.net / James Gillham (Disney, Netflix, Sony), Catwalking.com / Chris Moore, Gorunway / IMAXtree, Bob Martin / Rolex, BFC, Vogue favourite Darren Gerrish and more. I have also worked as an assistant to photographers Chris Moore, Jeff Moore, and Graham Trott. I graduated from Westminster Film School in 2016 where I specialised in sound recording and sound design. I also worked in the camera department and the art department. I have experience in production and crew jobs. I have a lot of experience with regular overseas assignments (smaller scale assignments to larger ones / team jobs - New York, Paris, Cannes, Milan, Berlin, Denmark, Budapest). I've been lead editor on multiple occasions, leading the edit for Bob Martin Ltd. on Aarhus Sail GP summer 2021. I work regularly on high pressure assignments so I'm a capable multitasker, great at improvising and adapting workflows, and I maintain a positive work ethic that includes fair team communication and service delivery. I also have experience with videography and video editing but I am less proficient in those areas, however, I am a keen and fast learner so I believe with the right training I could be of service in those areas too if needed. I have a flexible workflow depending on the assignment and client needs, but primarily I use Photomechanic, Photoshop and Capture One to handle images. I also use Caption Pro to help with naming. My workflow usually entails working with one or more photographers either alone or with a team of editors, and editing live at events - image selecting, corrections, processing, applying metadata and captions, delivering the images live to the client and often syndicating images.

I am a passionate visual practitioner, with excellent technical, organisational and communication skills, a willing attitude and an unflinching work ethic. With a grounding in fashion photography and portraiture, I am looking to broaden and develop my experience and knowledge by assisting photographers within these spheres. I have previously assisted photographers, including Product Photographer, Nick Dunn, and Fashion Photographer, Joe Whitmor and Justin de Villeneuve. I gained a huge amount from these photographers and the prospect of learning more from others delights me. Throughout my career, I have been responsible for the implementation of a vast array of projects and, as such, have had to effectively plan, prioritise and organise my work. At Airfield Design, I was a part of a fast-paced environment, working within a dynamic team. This instilled in me the value of sourcing and providing the most up-to-date and accurate information and having to reactively respond to ever-changing prioritised projects. Bringing this through into my role as Lead Creative for fashion retailer, Copperfield, I gained further experience in planning and organising, through heading the facilitation of creative ventures posed by the company founders. My logistical abilities have only been furthered through my freelance work. I feel these strong organisational attributes would be very valuable in an assisting role. I use on a near daily basis the software, Capture One and Photoshop and I also have a robust knowledge of the complete Adobe Creative Suite. With a grounding in fashion photography and portraiture, I hold in my inventory the foundational lighting standards as a pillar to exploring expression within these art forms. I have experience in darkroom techniques having worked in Black and White in the past and am eager to further my understanding in these areas. I am excited at the opportunity to utilise my passion and expertise in photography, along with my logical and organisational skills, in an assisting capacity and would be grateful to anyone allowing me the chance to work under them.

I am a freelance photographer and videographer living in the midlands, I have my own vehicle and I am willing to travel for work. I received a degree from UWE in 2018 and have worked in the industry ever since. My career has taken me in various direction - straight out of university I worked for a ski photography company in Canada producing on location portraits using off camera flash in a fast paced environment. I then moved to action sports photography - shooting skiing in the winter and rafting/mountain biking in the summer. Since returning to the UK I have worked largely in the B2B sector producing different kinds of promotional material: product photography, promotional videos, work place coverage and fashion photography.

I am very technically competent with a range of photographic equipment and software. I have had a lot of experience using Cannon, Nikon and Phase One Camera systems both alone and tethered to Capture One. I have used a wide range of different flash lighting systems both in the studio and on location. I am highly competent with Photoshop and Lightroom with over 8 years experience in using each one. I have also had 2 years experience with Capture One. Overall I am Highly adaptable and can work efficiently with a wide range of equipment. Currently a full time freelance photographer and assistant. ->I have worked on a wide range of projects and had the opportunity to work with photographers such as Kristy Noble and Sarah Deane.
