I started to have an interest in photography when I lived in Spain, at the time I was only 12 years old and buying a DSLR was quite pricey, so to begin with I used a simple point and shoot and tried my best. As I got older there wasn't really any courses in any colleges or schools in my area, they didn't really have the funds to kit students out with camera's and the appropriate equipment, so I pleaded my father If I could move back to the UK. I am now in my second year of college studying Film and Media Production at the Brit School of Performing Arts and Technology, I have A* grades both in GCSE Media and Photography and I have recently been accredited with a Distinction in AS Photography. I am confident with using Digital and 35mm set-ups and I am currently delving into 120 film too. During my AS course I was taught how to set up lighting for studio shoots and to use Lightroom and Photoshop for retouching purposes. Now I am looking to get my foot into the door as I will be finishing college soon and university doesn't sound ideal to me.

I've returned to assisting on set after managing Alva studios for over three years, during my time there I've accumulated a wealth of technical knowledge, the ability to work under immense pressure and being dedicated to getting the job done no matter the time frame. I am a 30 year old female living in North London and I have been dabbling in and out of photography since I was 17 but currently I work as a freelance contemporary dancer. In the past I have mainly photographed the arts, dance, theatre and music as this is the industry that I have been creatively working in for the past 10 years and where most of my interest lies. After 8 years working in the 2 most creative advertising agencies in London, in 1977 I became an assistant to Terence Donovan, James Cotier & Gary Bryan setting up my first studio off Oxford Street in 1980. Then moved to Cleveland St and finally a drive in unit in Battersea. Picked up a number of awards along the way. Moved to Cape Town in 2016 where I have extensive production facilities and now reside in Portugal. Closer to all my UK clients with full access to the rest of Europe.

I am a self taught photographer and would like to do some work with a professional to get some experience that goes beyond my home studio.
