I also work as a stills producer, producing shoots for outdoors based clients regularly managing crew, talent and clients on hillsides in the Peak District and beyond. I love the high pressure environment that our industry provides and work well under pressure and a fast paced schedule. Photography is all I have ever known, starting work in the industry when I was 20 and no plans to change I am now in my 40s. Personally I love spending time with my family (wife, 2 small children and a Basset Hound) in the countryside where we live and plan our next adventures.

Mathushaa Sagthidas is a London based freelance photographer, stylist, set designer and art director (studied at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL) with interest in fine art and contemporary fashion. Mathushaa's work often examines her identity - Tamil Eelam ethnicity and British nationality, which is reflected through traditions, history and fashion photography. Identity, authenticity and representation are important to her because of her parents? upbringing and experiences during the Sri Lankan civil war, which took place from 1983 to 2009. The history of the war, their own personal suffering and experience led Mathushaa to learn and embrace her ethnic culture, traditions and heritage more and more. 2013.09 - Present. I have been working as first assistant to photographer Stuart Duff, shooting mainly in a studio environment but also on location. During this time I was responsible for the downloading and saving of all digital images, the sourcing and casting of models and model makers, as well as stylists, including hair and make up. I have worked with all digital formats, including scan backs as well as analogue film, both colour and black and white, up to and including 8x10 sheet film. Shooting predominately still life I was responsible for the handling, cleaning and care of very valuable, fragile antiques amongst other things, whilst at the same time liaising with art directors on set to organise a smooth running work flow. I also carried out the processing and retouching of digital images to photographers satisfaction. As well as assisting Stuart in the studio I have recently redesigned his new portfolio.Through working and freelancing with other photographers on Gucci, Prada, Miu Miu and Rockins campaigns I have gained an extensive knowledge and the use of continuous light, including tungsten, HMI and even Carbon Arc.
