After 8 years working in the 2 most creative advertising agencies in London, in 1977 I became an assistant to Terence Donovan, James Cotier & Gary Bryan setting up my first studio off Oxford Street in 1980. Then moved to Cleveland St and finally a drive in unit in Battersea. Picked up a number of awards along the way. Moved to Cape Town in 2016 where I have extensive production facilities and now reside in Portugal. Closer to all my UK clients with full access to the rest of Europe.

I am a self taught photographer and would like to do some work with a professional to get some experience that goes beyond my home studio. After completing a HND in photography I am now looking for assisting work. The hands-on nature of my course has prepared me for working in the industry, both in the studio and on location. I am hard working and punctual (Ive been brought up to believe its better to be fifteen minutes early than one minute late). I am also well organised, patient and trustworthy. I currently run my own gas fitting company, but have always had a big interest in photography,I started out on a beginners course, then an intermediate course,then a 10 week photoshop course, and finally completed a BTEC level 2, I have an ongoing portfolio, that I like to add to when I get the chance, I am interested in all aspects of photography, and I have a canon 50D with several lenses,flash gun, tripod and a few filters. I have been a Professionally trained and qualified Wedding Photographer for the past 25 years, 8 with a Southampton based company and 17 on my own with my own company. I have all the experience you can imagine from photographing weddings as well as a fully trained assistant. I am looking to help out any established wedding photography company who might fancy doubling their takings by employing me on a freelance basis to cover weddings they otherwise wouldn't be able to take on. I have studio experience, and have worked with Elinchrom lighting as well as Canon, Nikon and Sony digital equipment and Olympus and Minolta analogue cameras. I have black and white darkroom and some reportage experience. I also make a great cup of tea and fix computers.
